A guide to the law for school governors
A Guide to the Law for School Governors is the guidance produced by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF, was formerly known as DfES). Every governor should obtain a copy of this publication.
The Guide can be accessed and downloaded from the DCSF governors website, www.governornet.co.uk. The Guide is updated on the website to reflect any changes in law that may have occurred since original production. It is advisable to use this version where possible. The Guide is only issued in CD-ROM and may be printed out at school for governors who do not have access to a computer.
